Radiofrequency Therapy (TR)

Radiofrequency therapy combines advanced technology with the therapist’s manual skills, allowing targeted action on the deep layers of tissue. During the procedure, the therapist moves a special applicator across the patient’s body while using a gel that enhances heat conduction. The treatment reaches deep muscle and tissue layers, supporting muscle regeneration and relaxation. Radiofrequency therapy is painless and can be combined with other manual techniques.

Who Is It For

Radiofrequency therapy is particularly recommended for individuals struggling with:

  • musculoskeletal disorders, including joint conditions (e.g., gonarthrosis, arthritis);
  • muscle pain and tension that interfere with daily functioning;
  • conditions and injuries resulting from intensive physical activity;
  • mobility issues, contractures, or limitations in joint range of motion.

The procedure requires a qualifying consultation with a physiotherapist.

The benefits

  • Pain relief – the therapy helps in managing chronic joint and muscle pain;
  • Reduction of muscle tension – decreases tension and inflammation in the tissues;
  • Improved range of motion – enhances joint mobility and flexibility;
  • Accelerated regeneration – supports the healing process of tissues after injuries;
  • Reduced swelling – helps minimize swelling caused by injuries and overuse.

How to prepare

On the day of the procedure:

  • wear comfortable clothing,
  • remove jewellery and watches,
  • ensure that your skin is clean and dry – do not use creams, lotions or ointments.

Treatment process

STAGE I: Preparation for the procedure (assuming the appropriate position depending on the area undergoing treatment).

STAGE II: Adjusting the device parameters to the patient’s needs.

STAGE III: Application of a specialised coupling gel.

STAGE IV: Moving the head over the treatment area.

STAGE V: Completion of the procedure.

Recovery guidelines

After the procedure, avoid strenuous physical activity.
