Medical Endermology

Endermology is a modern, non-invasive procedure that uses vacuum-assisted mechanical massage to stimulate the skin and subcutaneous tissue, promoting natural regeneration. During the treatment, a specialized head gently suctions and massages a fold of skin, activating fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin—proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. As a result, endermology effectively enhances blood flow, accelerates tissue metabolism, supports lymphatic drainage, and facilitates the removal of toxins from the body.

During the session, the patient wears a specialized suit that ensures hygiene and comfort, while also allowing the device’s head to glide smoothly over the body—boosting both the effectiveness and safety of the therapy.

Who Is It For

Medical endermology is beneficial for individuals seeking support in the following areas:

  • Reduction of lymphatic swelling – as part of supportive therapy after mastectomy, surgical procedures, or in cases of chronic lymphatic insufficiency. The treatment improves microcirculation, tissue elasticity, and relieves the sensation of heaviness.
  • Relief from pain and muscle tension – for issues affecting the spine, shoulders, or muscles. Vacuum massage promotes relaxation, improves blood flow, and reduces painful trigger points.
  • Rehabilitation of soft tissues and scars – following injuries, surgeries, or cesarean sections. Mechanical stimulation accelerates healing, improves elasticity, and enhances the appearance of scars.
  • Support for tissue metabolism and body contouring – for individuals struggling with obesity. The stimulation improves circulation and facilitates the removal of metabolic waste, which—combined with physical activity and a healthy diet—can aid in reducing body circumference and improving skin tone.

The benefits

  • Reduced swelling and relief from heavy legs
  • Improved circulation and faster toxin elimination
  • Firmer, smoother skin
  • Muscle relaxation and pain relief
  • Accelerated wound healing and improved scar appearance
  • Reduction in body circumference and cellulite
  • Boosted metabolism and enhanced fat burning

How to prepare

A few days before the procedure:

  • avoid intense sunbathing,
  • discontinue the use of products containing acids or retinol,
  • do not perform other treatments that irritate the skin (e.g. chemical peels, hair removal).
  • ensure adequate hydration of the body — this facilitates drainage and tissue function,
  • maintain a light, balanced diet and limit salt intake — this reduces water retention in the body.

On the day of the procedure:

  • make sure your skin is clean and dry – do not use creams, lotions or ointments,
  • eat a light meal 1-2 hours before your appointment (avoid heavy meals),
  • remove jewellery and watches,
  • put on a special endermology suit,
  • inform the staff about any contraindications (e.g. venous and arterial thrombosis, skin infections).

Treatment process

STAGE I: The patient puts on a special suit.

STAGE II: Preparation of equipment.

STAGE III: Endermological body massage.

Recovery guidelines

In order to maintain the effects, it is important to eat a balanced diet and engage in regular physical activity. It is recommended to drink approximately 2.5 litres of water per day, limit exposure to the sun, and use creams with a high UV filter.

Contraindications

Contraindications for medical endermological body massage include:

  • active systemic infections – fever, malaise;
  • acute skin inflammation and infections at the treatment site – bacterial, viral, fungal (including exacerbated atopic dermatitis, active psoriasis);
  • damage to tissue continuity – wounds, ulcers, fresh scars after surgical procedures;
  • injuries in the treatment area – fractures, dislocations, extensive haematomas, hernias;
  • thromboembolic diseases – deep vein thrombosis, thrombophlebitis, recent episodes of embolism;
  • coagulation disorders and bleeding tendency – including anticoagulant use (increased risk of haematomas);
  • uncontrolled cardiovascular diseases – e.g. uncontrolled hypertension, circulatory failure;
  • cancer undergoing treatment – in selected situations (e.g. after mastectomy with lymphoedema), the procedure may be recommended by a doctor;
  • pregnancy – treatment on the abdomen is contraindicated, other areas may be considered only after medical consultation.
