Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese treatment method that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to restore energy balance and support the body’s natural healing mechanisms. It is used to treat various ailments, such as pain, stress, sleep disorders and digestive problems.
An acupuncture treatment begins with a consultation, during which the appropriate points on the body are selected, depending on the patient’s ailments. The insertion of the needles does not usually cause severe pain – the patient may only feel a slight tingling or warmth. The needles remain in the body for 15-30 minutes, after which they are removed, bringing pain relief and deep relaxation.
